Cay Cafe is a fast-growing Vietnamese Banh Mi take out restaurant, dedicated to serving fresh, authentic, and flavorful food. Our menu features a range of delicious Banh Mi sandwiches, fresh bowls, coffee, matcha, smoothies, and sides, made from the quality ingredients with traditional Vietnamese flavors. We're looking for passionate, hardworking individuals to join our kitchen team and help us deliver high-quality meals to our guests.

Job Description:

As a kitchen staff member, you will play a key role in preparing and assembling our signature Banh Mi sandwiches and other menu items. We're looking for team members who are detail-oriented, efficient, and excited about working in a fast-paced environment. Whether you're experienced in Vietnamese cuisine or eager to learn, this is an excellent opportunity to work with fresh ingredients and hone your culinary skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and assemble Banh Mi sandwiches, sides, and other dishes according to restaurant recipes and standards.
• Assist in prepping ingredients such as pickled vegetables, meats, and fresh herbs.
• Ensure food safety and cleanliness in all food preparation areas.
• Maintain kitchen organization and inventory of ingredients.
• Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely and efficient service.
• Follow health and safety regulations at all times.
• Keep the kitchen area clean, sanitized, and orderly.

Qualifications:

• Prior experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment is preferred but not required.
• A passion for Vietnamese cuisine or a willingness to learn.
• Ability to work quickly and efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
• Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
• Ability to handle kitchen equipment safely.
• Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays.
