Job Description

OVERVIEW
The prep cook assists the Food Services Manager with the daily operations of the kitchen and dining facilities.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist with any food service preparation Assist with all inventory procedures Store all leftovers and unused food after each meal/snack Assist with cleaning and care of the kitchen, all work areas, and equipment Responsible for the care, cleanliness, and upkeep of the staff break room Attend and participate in training and conferences Wash and store dishes, pots, and pans Maintain cleanliness of all dishwashing areas Prepare clean-up pans, cleaning cloths, and spatulas Clean and maintain outside trash and mop storage Other related duties as required
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or equivalent (required) Food Handlers certification (required) Experience working in a kitchen
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Team player Detail oriented Ability to multi-task
EQUIPMENT USED
Modern Office Equipment and Relevant Software Relevant kitchen equipment
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
