The Kitchen Utility Worker plays an essential role in maintaining a clean, safe and organized dining environment. This position supports kitchen and dining operations by ensuring proper sanitation, equipment care and food storage standards are consistently upheld.
What You'll Do:
- Set up and maintain dishwashing and pot washing areas
- Operate dish machines and ensure proper sanitation procedures
- Wash and sanitize dishes, cookware, utensils and glassware
- Complete and maintain temperature, sanitation and equipment logs
- Clean kitchen equipment including ovens, fryers, mixers and refrigerators
- Perform janitorial duties such as sweeping, mopping, trash removal and sanitizing surfaces
- Assist with food prep and plating as needed
- Support proper storage, labeling and rotation of food and supplies (FIFO)
- Maintain safe storage of cleaning chemicals and supplies
- Assist in dining room cleaning, table resetting and light meal service when assigned
