Job Description
Job Summary Join our dynamic kitchen team as a Kitchen Help, where your enthusiasm and dedication will contribute to creating a welcoming and efficient culinary environment. In this role, you will support food preparation, maintain cleanliness, and assist with food service operations to ensure smooth daily kitchen functions. Your energy and attention to detail will help deliver quality meals and uphold high standards of food safety and hygiene. Duties Assist with food preparation tasks such as chopping, peeling, and assembling ingredients in accordance with recipes and safety guidelines Support cooking activities by preparing ingredients and helping with plating under supervision Maintain cleanliness of kitchen work areas, utensils, and equipment to meet sanitation standards Handle food safely by following proper food handling procedures and storage protocols Assist in meal service, including setting up serving stations and helping serve food to customers or residents Support menu planning efforts by organizing ingredients and ensuring availability for daily operations Follow all health and safety regulations related to food industry standards and catering services Requirements Previous experience in a dietary department, dietary aide role, or related food service environment is preferred Familiarity with food handling, safety procedures, and kitchen equipment operation Basic culinary skills such as knife handling, meal preparation, and cooking techniques Experience working in restaurants or the food industry is advantageous Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail Strong teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards supporting kitchen staff and service teams Willingness to learn new skills related to menu planning, catering, and food service operations
