We also serve Intelligentsia Coffee. We're obsessed with hospitality — creating a consistent, positive experience for every guest, every time. The Role Kitchen Leads work directly with the Kitchen Manager and Production Manager to run day-to-day kitchen operations. You'll oversee team production and pace, train and support the BOH team, and help maintain The Salty's standards for quality, consistency, and presentation across every station. What You'll Do Lead by example — model attendance, punctuality, and The Salty's culture and standards Train, coach, and motivate BOH team members across all kitchen disciplines (dough mixing, overnight bake, decoration, prep) Maintain decoration pace and keep production on schedule against daily quantity targets Coordinate with the FOH manager on daily production adjustments Execute special orders (custom letters, shapes, donut towers) Uphold standards for glaze consistency, filling weight, flavor, dough texture, and visual aesthetics Conduct opening donut counts and flag any product inconsistencies to the Kitchen Manager Support inventory, FIFO rotation, and overall kitchen cleanliness and organization Other duties as assigned What You Bring Previous supervisory experience in a kitchen environment Strong attention to detail and multitasking skills Friendly, team-first attitude with a willingness to learn Flexible availability (mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays) Ability to stand for up to 10 hours and lift up to 50 lbs Fluent in English (read/communicate) What We Offer Schedule flexibility Competitive weekly pay plus tips 6 weeks paid parental leave Health, dental, and vision plans (full-time) Matching
