Key Responsibilities:
Assist with daily food preparation, including cleaning and cutting vegetables, preparing salads, desserts, fruits, beverages, snacks, and foods according to patient diet orders and required food consistencies. Help assemble and deliver patient meal trays and food carts, ensuring meals are prepared accurately and delivered to the appropriate patient/resident areas. Support cafeteria food service, including working at the steam table and assisting with serving meals. Maintain accurate patient census and diet order information to help ensure appropriate quantities are prepared and minimize food waste. Wash and sanitize dishes, pots, pans, utensils, and kitchen equipment; operate the commercial dishwashing machine and routinely clean kitchen appliances and work areas. Follow food safety, sanitation, confidentiality, hospital policies, and applicable regulatory and accreditation requirements while working cooperatively with the Dietary team.
