Breakfast Cook - Hotel Restaurant Best Western Premier Rockville Hotel & Suites is seeking a reliable and experienced Breakfast Cook to prepare breakfast for our hotel restaurant and group guests. This position works Monday through Friday, beginning at 5:00 am. The end time will vary depending on business levels and the amount of preparation needed for the following day. Busier days with large groups may require a longer shift. Responsibilities Prepare and cook breakfast items from our à la carte restaurant menu Prepare and maintain breakfast buffets for tour groups and other hotel groups Complete food preparation for the following day based on expected occupancy and group business Monitor food quality, presentation, portions, and availability throughout breakfast service Adapt to changing guest counts and service needs Keep the kitchen, equipment, workstations, and storage areas clean and organized Follow food-safety, sanitation, and proper food-storage procedures Maintain appropriate inventory levels and notify management when supplies are needed Work cooperatively and professionally with restaurant, banquet, front-desk, and hotel staff Assist with other kitchen responsibilities as needed What We're Looking For Previous cooking or commercial kitchen experience preferred Breakfast, restaurant, buffet, banquet, or hotel kitchen experience is a plus Ability to prepare both made-to-order meals and buffet-style food Comfortable improvising and solving problems when business needs change Takes initiative and completes necessary work without constant supervision Reliable, punctual, and able to consistently report for a 5:00 a.m. start Professional and able to work well with others Organized and able to manage cooking, cleaning, and preparation responsibilities efficiently Knowledge of food-safety and sanitation practices Able to stand for extended periods and safely perform the physical duties of a kitchen position Schedule Monday through Friday Start time: 5:00 a.m. End time varies based on business volume and preparation needs We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, notices what needs to be done, and helps the kitchen operate smoothly for both individual restaurant guests and large hotel groups.
