As a key player in our kitchen, you'll assist with food preparation, ensure cleanliness and safety standards are met, and support the overall flow of meal service. Responsibilities Prepare ingredients and assist with food assembly according to established recipes and menu specifications Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives, slicers, mixers, and cooking appliances Follow proper food handling procedures to maintain food safety standards and prevent contamination Assist with cleaning duties such as sanitizing workstations, utensils, and kitchen tools to uphold hygiene standards Support meal preparation for various service types, including catering events or daily meal service Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to coordinate tasks and ensure smooth operations Adhere strictly to safety protocols during all stages of food production and equipment use Skills Previous experience in dietary departments or as a dietary aide is highly desirable Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, including slicing, portioning, and recipe adherence Familiarity with menu planning and meal assembly processes Experience operating commercial kitchen equipment safely and efficiently Excellent communication skills to collaborate seamlessly with kitchen team members Knowledge of food safety management practices and sanitation standards Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail Culinary experience or restaurant background is a plus, especially with catering or large-scale food service operations Proficiency in knife skills, slicing techniques, and general food industry practices Embark on a rewarding culinary journey where your skills contribute directly to nourishing others!
