Job Summary:
The Overnight Room Service & Cleaning Attendant is responsible for the prompt and professional delivery of food and beverage orders to guest rooms throughout the hotel. This position serves as a direct touchpoint with guests and is expected to uphold Cambria's standards of hospitality, presentation, and service quality during every interaction. During periods of lower room service demand, this role transitions to support back-of-house operations, including kitchen prep, sanitation and equipment maintenance ensuring the kitchen is fully ready for the following day's service.
Duties/Responsibilities :
Report for duty punctually and in full uniform. Review and accurately prepare room service trays and carts for delivery, verifying order accuracy against the ticket before leaving the kitchen. Deliver food and beverage orders to guest rooms in a timely manner and in accordance with service standards. Present orders to guests in a courteous and professional manner, including proper setup when requested. Communicate estimated delivery times accurately and follow up on delayed orders. Remove trays, carts, and dishware from guest rooms and hallways promptly upon request or per established pickup schedules. Maintain the room service station in a clean, organized, and fully stocked condition throughout the shift. Accurately process payment transactions and obtain guest signatures where required. Record and relay guest feedback, complaints, or special requests to the appropriate supervisor. Coordinate with kitchen and front desk staff to ensure seamless order fulfillment. Perform side work including restocking supplies, polishing flatware, and preparing condiment setups. Support kitchen prep work during periods of low room service volume, including mise en place, ingredient portioning, and restocking kitchen stations. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen workstations, equipment, and surfaces in accordance with health code standards. Wash and properly store dishes, cookware, and utensils as needed. Follow food storage and rotation protocols. Assist with end-of-shift kitchen breakdown and closing procedures. Operate kitchen equipment as trained and directed by kitchen supervision. Other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Ideal candidate for this position must be extremely friendly, outgoing, self-directed and organized. Basic food safety knowledge and familiarity with kitchen sanitation standards. Positive attitude and interpersonal skills. Flexibility when working alternating shifts. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent observational skills and situational awareness. Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills including dealing with difficult and rude patrons Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or GED preferred. Prior restaurant experience preferred.
Physical Requirements:
Continuously reach, bend, lift, carry, stoop, and wipe. Must be able to walk/stand for entire shift Must be able to lift to 50 pounds.
