Kitchen Staff St. Joseph River Yacht Club Overview Join our dynamic culinary team as a Kitchen Staff member and become a vital part of creating memorable dining experiences! In this energetic role, you will support food preparation, maintain cleanliness, and ensure smooth kitchen operations. Staff Needed Dishwashers Prep Cooks Line Cooks Responsibilities Assist in food preparation, including chopping, assembling ingredients, and following recipes to ensure quality standards are met. Support cooking processes by operating kitchen equipment safely and efficiently under supervision. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and disposing of waste properly. Help with food handling procedures to uphold food safety regulations and prevent contamination. Busing tables and clearing dining areas to support smooth service flow during busy hours. Collaborate with team members to deliver excellent customer service by promptly addressing guest needs and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere. Follow all health and safety guidelines related to food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety protocols. Qualifications Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is highly desirable. Basic knowledge of kitchen operations, food preparation techniques, and food handling safety standards. Experience with banquet service or hotel kitchens is a plus. Strong communication skills to effectively coordinate with team members and interact with guests when needed. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Willingness to learn new culinary skills and adapt to evolving kitchen procedures.
