Overview Join our dynamic culinary team as a Kitchen Helper and become an essential part of creating delicious, high-quality meals in a fast-paced food service environment. As a Kitchen Helper, you will support the kitchen staff by preparing ingredients, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring food safety standards are consistently met. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will help deliver exceptional dining experiences to our customers every day. Duties Assist with food preparation by chopping, slicing, and organizing ingredients using proper knife skills and slicing techniques Support meal and food production processes by following recipes and safety standards in food handling and preparation Operate basic food preparation equipment safely and efficiently, including mixers, blenders, and cutting tools Perform manual handling tasks such as heavy lifting of supplies, ingredients, and equipment to ensure smooth kitchen operations Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and kitchen areas in accordance with food safety regulations Help with serving food during peak hours, ensuring timely delivery and presentation of dishes Conduct sensory evaluation of ingredients and prepared foods to uphold quality standards in taste and appearance Skills Proficient in basic knife skills, slicing techniques, and food preparation methods Experience with meal preparation, food handling, and food safety management in a restaurant or catering setting Knowledge of safety standards in food production environments to prevent cross-contamination and ensure hygiene Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting with proper technique Familiarity with food industry equipment operation such as slicers, mixers, and prep stations Strong understanding of culinary processes involved in cooking, food production, and presentation Customer service skills for assisting with serving guests when needed Basic math skills for measuring ingredients accurately and managing portion sizes Previous restaurant or kitchen experience is preferred but not required; enthusiasm to learn is valued highly Join us to be part of a lively team dedicated to culinary excellence!
