The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and cooking, with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment. As a Prep Cook, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality recipes while adhering to food safety standards and maintaining a clean workspace. Duties Prepare and cook prep items according to recipes and standards. Assist in preparation and ensure all ingredients are fresh and properly stored. Operate kitchen equipment such as hotplates, fryers and knives safely and effectively. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including workstations and storage areas. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during busy periods. Follow food safety protocols to prevent contamination and ensure quality. Qualifications Previous experience in the food industry or food service is preferred. Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen equipment operation. Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices. Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Excellent knife skills and attention to detail in meal presentation. Strong teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required.
