General Information:

• 24 room home for 32 residents maximum
• Position is for every Friday 2-6pm and every Saturday & Sunday 7 am to 6 pm

Responsibilities:

• Prepare ingredients for menu items as per recipes
• Cook and assemble dishes according to restaurant standards
• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen workspace
• Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and guidelines
• Assist in receiving and storing food deliveries
• Collaborate with the kitchen team to provide excellent service

Disclosure:

This position is not for the weak. You will be on your feet, moving and interacting with people all day during the weekend for extended periods of time. Consider this before applying.

Experience:

• Previous experience cooking in assisted living, memory care or skilled nursing, HIGHLY preferred
• Familiarity with dietary department operations is a plus
• Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations
• Proficiency in using kitchen tools such as knives and equipment
• Experience in the food industry or food service sector is beneficial
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment
• Prior experience as a cook, dietary aide, or in a restaurant setting is advantageous
