$26-$29/hour Proud Rooster BBQ is looking for an exceptional person to join our team as an Expediter / Guest Experience team member. Please submit a resume! This is one of the most important positions in our restaurant. You are the final set of eyes on every order before it leaves our kitchen and often the last member of our team a customer interacts with. We have a high standard for this position. You'll be responsible for making sure every bag is accurate, complete, and ready to go before presenting it to the customer. At the same time, we expect every customer interaction to be friendly, positive, and professional.
In short:
make sure the food is right and make sure the customer leaves happy.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Perform the final accuracy check on every completed order before it leaves the restaurant Confirm that all food, sides, sauces, drinks, and requested items are included Catch and correct mistakes before an order reaches the customer Organize completed orders and present them to customers in a friendly, professional manner Communicate quickly and clearly with the kitchen and front counter during busy service Move constantly between the kitchen and front of the restaurant Jump in and assist on the prep line whenever needed Help maintain clean, organized, and stocked work areas Complete opening or closing duties depending on your shift Help wherever needed when the restaurant gets busy
WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR
This position requires someone who is dependable, sharp, friendly, and able to perform well under pressure. Our lunch rush can be fast-paced and high-volume, so you need to be able to stay calm, positive, organized, and accurate even when orders are coming quickly. A great attitude is a requirement. We want someone who brings positive energy to work, treats customers and coworkers well, and can handle the pressure of a busy restaurant without allowing it to affect the quality of their work or their interactions with others.
You must:
Be 18 years of age or older Be legally authorized to work in the United States Speak fluent English; bilingual applicants are strongly encouraged to apply Have a consistently positive and professional attitude Be able to perform effectively during a high-volume lunch rush Remain calm, friendly, organized, and accurate under pressure Have excellent attention to detail Be comfortable interacting directly with customers Communicate clearly with both customers and coworkers Show up on time and ready to work for every scheduled shift Be willing to jump in and help the team wherever needed, including on the prep line Be able to stand and walk throughout your shift and lift up to 40 pounds Be willing to wear the Proud Rooster BBQ uniform, including our shirt and hat Be able to successfully complete a background check Restaurant experience is preferred, but it is not required. We care more about finding someone dependable, capable, friendly, and willing to learn.
SCHEDULE
Tuesday through Saturday Shifts begin at 11:00 AM and run until we sell out or close at 6:00 PM, followed by approximately 30-60 minutes of closing duties. Because we operate with a small team, reliability and punctuality are extremely important.
PAY & TIPS
Starting pay is $20.00 per hour. In addition to hourly pay, this position receives an equal share of eligible staff tips. Based on our current expectations, total compensation will typically be approximately $24-$27 per hour, although tips vary and are not guaranteed. Proud Rooster BBQ is a locally owned BBQ restaurant in Bozeman, Montana. We take our food seriously, we take care of our customers, and we expect our team to take pride in what leaves our kitchen. We move quickly, especially during our lunch rush, and everyone helps each other. There is no "that's not my job" mentality here. For this particular position, accuracy and attitude matter equally.
