Job Summary Join our vibrant culinary team as a Kitchen Assistant, where your enthusiasm and dedication will help create a welcoming and efficient food service environment. In this role, you'll support the preparation and presentation of delicious meals, ensure food safety standards are maintained, and assist with daily kitchen operations. Your energy and attention to detail will contribute to delivering exceptional dining experiences for our guests or residents. Duties Assist with food preparation, including chopping, mixing, and assembling ingredients to support meal production Follow established recipes and menu plans to ensure consistency and quality in all dishes served Handle food safely by practicing proper hygiene, storage, and sanitation procedures in compliance with health regulations Support cooking activities by operating kitchen equipment safely and efficiently under supervision Contribute to meal plating and presentation to enhance visual appeal for diners Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area, including washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and organizing supplies Aid in food service operations by helping serve meals and ensuring timely delivery to guests or residents Experience Previous experience working in a dietary department or as a dietary aide is preferred but not required; training will be provided for motivated candidates Familiarity with menu planning, food handling, and basic cooking techniques is advantageous Experience in food preparation within a restaurant or catering environment is highly valued Knowledge of food safety standards and proper knife skills are beneficial for this role Prior kitchen experience or work within the food industry demonstrates a strong foundation for success in this position Ability to follow detailed instructions accurately while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety This energetic role is perfect for individuals passionate about culinary arts and eager to grow their skills in a supportive environment.
