Duties Assist with basic food preparation tasks, including chopping, slicing, and assembling ingredients using proper knife skills and slicing techniques Support meal preparation and food production processes to ensure timely service Operate food handling equipment safely and efficiently, adhering to food safety management standards Handle manual tasks such as heavy lifting of supplies and ingredients with proper technique to prevent injury Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and equipment in compliance with safety standards in production Support catering and serving activities by setting up stations and assisting with food presentation Conduct sensory evaluation of food items to ensure quality and consistency before serving Qualifications Previous experience in a food service or restaurant environment is preferred but not required; willingness to learn is essential Basic knife skills and slicing techniques for efficient food prep Knowledge of food safety standards in production environments Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting safely Familiarity with food preparation equipment operation is advantageous Strong attention to detail in food handling, safety, and cleanliness practices Good communication skills and a positive attitude towards teamwork and customer service Embark on a rewarding culinary journey where your contributions directly impact the dining experience.
