Responsibilities Prepare and assemble a variety of menu items following established recipes and standards, ensuring consistency and quality. Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including grills, ovens, poaching stations, braising units, and food production machinery. Maintain strict adherence to food safety protocols and sanitizing procedures to ensure a clean and safe kitchen environment. Assist with menu planning by preparing ingredients and supporting the development of new dishes that meet dietary guidelines and customer preferences. Handle food with care, practicing proper food handling techniques during preparation, cooking, and storage to prevent contamination. Support high-volume production needs by efficiently managing multiple tasks during busy service times. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely meal preparation and smooth kitchen operations for catering events or regular service. Skills Proven experience in dietary aide roles or dietary department settings, demonstrating knowledge of special dietary requirements. Strong food preparation skills with expertise in cooking techniques such as grilling, braising, poaching, and other culinary methods. Excellent knife skills and familiarity with operating various kitchen equipment safely. Experience in food safety management practices including sanitizing procedures and proper food handling. Background in fine dining or restaurant environments that require attention to detail and recipe adherence. Ability to work efficiently in high-volume production settings while maintaining quality standards. Knowledge of menu planning concepts and experience supporting meal prep for diverse dietary needs such as catering or institutional settings. Pay:
$14.00 - $17.00 per hour
