Description Position Summary The Doughmaker is responsible for preparing fresh dough and supporting daily kitchen operations. This position requires attention to detail, cleanliness, food safety, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment. 2-3 hours per day (9 am to 11 am or 9 am to 12 pm). Essential Duties and Responsibilities Measure and mix ingredients according to established recipes to prepare dough.
Operate mixers and other kitchen equipment safely.
Prepare, portion, shape, and store dough as directed.
Monitor dough for proper consistency, texture, and preparation.
Receive and put away food and supply deliveries.
Rotate inventory and properly store ingredients and supplies.
Keep the kitchen, preparation areas, equipment, and storage areas clean and organized.
Wash, clean, and sanitize work surfaces, utensils, equipment, and other food-contact areas.
Follow all food safety and sanitation procedures.
Assist with other kitchen duties as needed.
Maintain a safe and orderly work environment. Personal Hygiene & Food Safety Requirements Wear a clean hat, hair covering, or hair net while working with food.
Long hair must be secured in a bun or otherwise completely contained.
Facial hair, including beards, must be properly covered with a beard net when required by food-safety procedures.
Maintain clean hands and follow proper handwashing procedures.
Wear clean, appropriate work clothing and footwear.
Follow all company and applicable food-safety and sanitation requirements Qualifications Previous food-service or kitchen experience preferred-3 years
Ability to follow recipes and accurately measure ingredients.
Ability to lift and carry food ingredients and supplies.
Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
Reliable, dependable, and able to work as part of a team.
Willingness to learn proper food preparation, safety, and sanitation procedures. Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and lift throughout the shift.
Ability to lift and move bags of flour, ingredients, and other kitchen supplies.
Ability to work in a warm, fast-paced kitchen environment.
Ability to safely operate kitchen equipment after appropriate training. Work Environment This position works primarily in a commercial kitchen and may involve exposure to flour, food ingredients, heat, wet surfaces, and kitchen equipment.
