The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service while accurately processing transactions in a fast-paced environment. This role is essential in ensuring a positive shopping experience for our customers at our grocery store and café. The Cashier will also assist with food preparation and handling as needed, contributing to the overall success of our food service operations. Duties Greet customers warmly and provide assistance with their inquiries. Accurately process customer transactions using the cash register or point-of-sale system. Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions while ensuring accuracy in basic math calculations. Assist with food preparation and maintain cleanliness in the kitchen and café areas. Ensure compliance with food handling and safety regulations. Maintain an organized checkout area, restocking supplies as necessary. Collaborate with team members to provide exceptional customer service and support throughout the store. Address customer concerns or issues promptly and professionally. Requirements Previous experience in a cashier or customer service role is preferred but not required. Knowledge of food preparation and handling practices is a plus, especially in a grocery store or café setting. Strong communication skills and a friendly demeanor to engage effectively with customers. Basic math skills for accurate transaction processing. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed.
