As a Kitchen Support Team Member , you play an important role in creating that experience. You are responsible for preparing quality food, maintaining a clean and safe kitchen, supporting efficient service, and helping ensure every guest receives a consistent and enjoyable dining experience.WHAT YOU'LL DO
Prepare Quality Food Prepare menu items according to Adventure Park recipes, portions, and presentation standards. Measure ingredients accurately to maintain quality and consistency and reduce unnecessary waste. Follow approved food preparation, cooking, holding, and storage procedures. Complete assigned food preparation before and during each shift. Check food for quality, freshness, temperature, and proper presentation before it is served. Never change a recipe, portion, or ingredient without approval from the Kitchen Lead or manager. Support Fast and Accurate Service Understand and accurately use the Kitchen Display System (KDS). Prepare orders in the correct sequence and within established service-time expectations. Read order details carefully, including special instructions and allergy-related information. Communicate clearly with the Kitchen Lead and other team members to prevent incorrect orders, food delays, and waste. Notify the Kitchen Lead immediately of incorrect orders, remakes, dropped food, expired products, or other wasted items so they can be properly documented for inventory purposes. Assist other kitchen stations when needed to keep orders moving efficiently. Maintain Food Safety and Sanitation Make food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness a priority during every shift. Wash hands properly and frequently, including when changing stations, changing tasks, or handling different food products. Wear the required hair restraint, such as a hat or hairnet, and follow all uniform and personal-hygiene standards. Use gloves, utensils, and food-contact equipment properly to prevent cross-contamination. Follow all food-safety requirements for food handling, storage, labeling, dating, rotation, cooking, cooling, and holding temperatures. Follow the first in, first out (FIFO) inventory rotation method. Immediately report possible food contamination, allergen concerns, unsafe temperatures, pest activity, illness symptoms, or other food-safety concerns to the Kitchen Lead or manager. Do not eat, chew gum, or use tobacco products in food-preparation or kitchen areas. Keep personal beverages in approved containers with lids and stored only in the designated area below the preparation station. Keep floors, counters, equipment, storage areas, and food-contact surfaces clean and sanitary. Use cleaning chemicals safely and according to label instructions. Follow all applicable Adventure Park policies and health-department requirements. Complete Shift Responsibilities Follow and complete all assigned daily checklists, including: Stocking Sanitation Temperature logs Food preparation Opening and closing duties Deep-cleaning assignments Maintain accurate temperature and cleaning records as assigned. Keep kitchen stations stocked, organized, and ready for service. Properly label, date, rotate, cover, and store food products. Wash dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment as assigned. Remove trash and maintain clean waste and storage areas. Complete all opening, shift-change, and closing responsibilities before leaving the assigned area. Obtain approval from the Kitchen Lead or manager before ending the shift. Protect Inventory and Equipment Use food, supplies, utensils, and equipment carefully to prevent damage and waste. Immediately communicate low inventory levels to the Kitchen Lead. Report malfunctioning, damaged, or unsafe equipment as soon as it is identified. Do not attempt to repair kitchen equipment unless specifically trained and authorized. Follow proper procedures for receiving, storing, and rotating inventory. Help maintain accurate inventory by reporting all waste, remakes, spills, and damaged products. Work as One Team Follow the direction of the Kitchen Lead and managers. Communicate respectfully and professionally with team members and guests. Arrive on time, in the required uniform, and prepared to work the scheduled shift. Maintain a positive attitude and remain productive during both busy and slower periods. Assist teammates without waiting to be asked when additional support is needed. Respond calmly and professionally during high-volume service periods. Help create a workplace that reflects Adventure Park's standards for quality, safety, cleanliness, service, teamwork, and fun. Perform other related duties as assigned to support Adventure Park operations.WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Dependable, punctual, and ready to work. Able to follow recipes, written instructions, checklists, and food-safety procedures. Careful and accurate when measuring ingredients and preparing orders. Able to work quickly without sacrificing food quality, safety, or cleanliness. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Willing to learn and accept coaching. Able to remain calm and organized in a fast-paced kitchen environment. Honest and accountable when mistakes, waste, or equipment concerns occur. Previous restaurant or food-service experience is helpful but not required. Food-handler certification must be obtained and maintained as required by Adventure Park and applicable regulations.PHYSICAL AND SCHEDULING REQUIREMENTS
This position requires the ability to: Stand and walk for extended periods. Frequently bend, reach, twist, squat, and perform repetitive motions. Safely lift, carry, push, or pull kitchen supplies and equipment weighing up to 40 pounds. Work around hot cooking equipment, steam, sharp utensils, cleaning chemicals, cold-storage areas, and wet or slippery surfaces. Work in a fast-paced environment with varying temperatures and noise levels. Work a flexible schedule based on business needs, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events.
