Part-time Shift(s): What does Utility at Sagora do? Collect dishes and kitchen utensils from the tables during mealtimes. Wash dishes and kitchen utensils, assuring highest standards of cleanliness. Eliminate stains from all utensils. Monitor the temperature of the dishwashing machine on a daily basis to ensure that the machine is operating properly. Notify the Culinary Director promptly of any unacceptable temperature readings. Remove from service all cracked or broken dishes or damaged utensils that might be hazardous to residents. Notify the Culinary Director of damage. Store dishes, glassware, and utensils properly for use at the next mealtime. Under the direction of the Culinary Director, follow established methods of meal preparation and decoration Set up tables and beverage station and refill all salt, pepper, and sugar dispensers. As directed, assure all salads and desserts are properly portioned. Serve meals to residents promptly and in a friendly and courteous manner. Deliver meals to residents' rooms as needed. Dispose of all trash in a proper manner. Clean dishwashing machine inside and out after each shift. Deep-clean kitchen on a monthly basis. Sweep and mop kitchen floor, walk-in refrigerator, and freezer each evening. What do you need to be a Utility? Six (6) months or more of experience in a commercial kitchen operation is preferred Must have food handler's permit as required by state and /or local authority Excellent communication skills The ideal candidate will be caring, organized, and able to multi-task Must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively with residents, families, guests, and other associates in English Sagora does not accept unsolicited resumes from headhunters, recruitment agencies or fee based recruitment services.
