The Job:

First and foremost: we're hiring friendly folks who like to engage with customers! We want our employees to enjoy their work and really focus on building good teams. The Kitchen & Market store staff position provides support to the grocery store team including things like sampling tasty bites, cashiering, customer service, cleaning, and stocking of products. We're looking for part-time employees, but you must be older than 21 years of age. We are currently hiring for our Yarrow Bay (Kirkland-area) store. We do provide free ORCA cards for public transit. This is not seasonal. Our stores are open 8am-8pm daily. We are only closed on Thanksgiving and Christmas. You must be available nights and weekends. Please send your availability when you apply.

You must be able to lift up to 40 pounds and stand/walk for 6-8 hours a day.

Work requires the following motions:

bending, twisting, squatting, and reaching. Work requires the ability to use tools and equipment including knives, box cutters, etc. Work may require the use of ladders.

Main job responsibilities:

Providing excellent customer service by addressing customer needs in a prompt, friendly manner. Ringing up customers at our cash registers. Sampling products to customers. (We have delicious cookies!) Understanding the packaging and labeling requirements for all K&M produced items. Stocking cases and displays with prepared foods and dry goods. Checking in-stock product dates to ensure freshness. Assisting with periodic inventory checks. Maximizing sales by following proper procedures for prepping, storing, rotating, stocking, and merchandising products. Performing opening, mid, and closing duties as assigned.
