Job Description
DEFINITION OF POSITION
Support the nutrition services program by covering absences at various locations throughout the district on an as needed basis.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
High School diploma or equivalent
Food Handler's permit
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience with food preparation
Understanding of food safety and proper food handling
Experience cashiering and record keeping
ESSENTIAL JOB-RELATED ACTIVITIES
Assist in the preparation of a variety of foods
Accept payments on accounts for student and adult meals
Operate and clean kitchen equipment such as ovens, kettles, mixers, slicers, and dishwasher
Implement defined standards of safety and sanitation
Perform related duties as assigned including organizing, cleaning, and dishwashing
Work positively with a wide variety of people both inside and outside the organization
Work with colleagues in a collaborative manner and be a positive team builder
Meet multiple demands in pressure situations and maintain high levels of quality work
Maintain confidentiality
Deal with the public, other agencies and district employees in a positive and productive manner
Communicate clearly, both orally and in writing
Work with minimal supervision and be flexible
