AED Certification Full Job Description General Description :
Responsible for planning and overseeing all aspects of the swim lesson and Lifeguard programing in order to create satisfied members participating in swim lessons and in recreational swim at the club. Responsibilities and Duties Organize, plan, budget, evaluate and promote swim lessons, activities, programs and social events. Maintain active involvement in the swimming community as a representative of the club. Recruit and recommend hiring of swim lesson instructors and lifeguard staff. Ensure Swim Instructors and Lifeguards provide a safe and friendly environment for members. Assist in ensuring the teaching of new skills in a fun and enthusiastic environment. Oversee all promotional information related to swim lessons. Oversee and engage in the administration of all program sign-ups. Assist in training team members through shadowing, direction and feedback. Participate in aquatics activities at the club. Scheduling of swim lessons and lifeguarding shifts Support and enforce all club rules and regulations as a staff team member. All other duties as assigned. Qualifications WSI certified Experience as a swim instructor/lifeguard. Supervisor experience preferred. CPR/AED certification. High school diploma or equivalent. Physical and environmental requirements Occasional bending, kneeling, and lifting of weights up to 30 lbs. Frequent standing, walking, reaching, climbing and balancing when at club properties. Work on club properties may be performed near moving, mechanical parts or in the pool. The noise level is usually moderate to high at club properties . Compensation and Benefits Hourly pay $20 -$23 per hour Opportunity to teach private swim lessons at a commission of service. Complimentary Spare Time Sports clubs employee membership. Part Time Hours, Flexible hours to include mornings, evening and weekends. 15-25 hours per week
