Job Description
Position Summary The Town of Breckenridge Recreation Department is seeking dedicated, highly responsible and customer-focused individuals for the position of Lifeguard - Winter Seasonal . Lifeguards are responsible for ensuring the health, safety, and overall experience of patrons by monitoring aquatic facilities for hazards, enforcing policies and rules, preventing accidents, and responding to emergencies with appropriate care. In addition to providing first aid and maintaining a clean and safe environment, Lifeguards support Recreation Department programs by assisting with planning and implementation, providing information to guests, and representing the department in a professional, service-oriented manner. The incumbent must possess strong communication and customer service skills to work effectively with staff and guests while upholding safety standards, completing assigned duties, and prioritizing the well-being of all patrons in this safety-sensitive position. Must be 15 years of age or older. High school diploma or current enrollment in High School required. One (1) or more years of customer service experience desired.LICENSES OR CERTIFICATES REQUIRED
Current Lifeguard Certification (or expired for less than one year) required. Basic CPR, AED, and First Aid Certifications are required. Preventing Disease Transmission (PDT) required within 60 days of hire.Additional Information Typical Hiring Pay Range:
$20.50 - $21.75 per hour.WORK SCHEDULE
The work schedule for this role varies. Individuals in this position must be flexible in terms of availability, and may on occasion be required to work other shifts as needed, including early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays.APPLICATION INFORMATION
