Position Summary This role ensures the safety of all patrons, enforces pool regulations, and maintains high training and maintenance standards. If you're a strong swimmer with a passion for water safety and customer service, we encourage you to apply! Schedule This is a part-time, benefitted position expected to work 25-30 hours a week. The varying shift schedule will be between 4:45am - 4:00pm Monday - Friday. Key Responsibilities Supervise and ensure the safety of all pool patrons. Respond to emergencies with lifesaving techniques, including CPR, first aid, and water rescues. Maintain lifeguard training standards by attending required in-service trainings. Provide excellent customer service while enforcing safety policies and procedures. Assist with daily facility setup, cleaning, and pool maintenance. Complete required reports and records, including incident reports, first aid logs, and daily operation logs. Perform routine safety inspections of the pool, deck, restrooms, and surrounding areas. Perform minor maintenance on equipment or report necessary repairs. Follow all safety, sanitary, and organizational regulations.
Qualifications Minimum:
Must be at least 16 years old. American Red Cross Lifeguard with Water module (or willing to obtain before the start date). This certification includes First Aid/CPR/AED certifications
Preferred:
Previous lifeguard experience and certifications such as American Red Lifeguard Instructor, or Water Safety Instructor. Work Environment Lifeguards will be exposed to heat, humidity, and noise typical of an aquatic facility. The role requires frequent standing, walking, reaching, and occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs. Candidates should be comfortable with physical activity and working in conditions typical of an indoor pool facility. Compensation and Benefits The rate of pay is $15.50 - $17.97 per hour dependent on qualifications and directly related experience.
