Job Description
Join Longfellow's vibrant aquatic team as a Lifeguard and become a vital guardian of safety and enjoyment at our recreational facilities. In this energetic role, you will ensure a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for all guests by actively monitoring pool areas, enforcing safety rules, and providing exceptional guest services. Your proactive approach will help create memorable experiences while maintaining the highest standards of water safety and cleanliness. Duties Vigilantly monitor pool areas to prevent accidents and respond swiftly to emergencies using established rescue techniques. Enforce safety rules and regulations to ensure all guests enjoy a secure environment. Perform routine pool maintenance tasks such as cleaning, chemical testing, and adjusting water quality to ensure optimal conditions. Conduct regular inspections of pool equipment and surrounding areas, including pool cleaning and minor repairs as needed. Assist guests with inquiries, provide information about pool hours, safety guidelines, and facility amenities. Maintain accurate incident reports and log daily activities to ensure compliance with safety protocols. Support overall pool area cleanliness by performing routine maintenance tasks like skimming debris and checking safety equipment. Experience Prior lifeguard experience and certification required. Proficiency in swimming with the ability to perform water rescues confidently. Valid certifications in Lifeguarding, CPR and First Aid are required. Experience with pool maintenance, including chemical testing and basic cleaning procedures, is advantageous but not necessary. Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary for pool equipment or supplies. Strong guest service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor. Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, in a fast-paced environment.
