Job Description

The Rivers School — a 6-12 co-ed independent day school in Weston, MA, just outside Boston — seeks professionals who are looking to join a dynamic, innovative, and welcoming school community. Camp Nonesuch is hiring Lifeguards for the 2026 summer camp season
  • June 29 through August 14, Hours 8:30
  • 4:15 Monday
  • Friday.
Preference is for Lifeguards to work for the entire summer season, but options are available to work a limited number of two-week sessions.
Job Summary:
Lifeguards work under the supervision of the Camp Director and are responsible for camper safety and instruction at all waterfront activities at NoneSuch Pond. Lifeguards lead watery safety and are on duty to lifeguard during all free swim periods. Lifeguards will be responsible for guarding the waterfront for all waterfront activities, including but not limited to: Swimming/Canoeing/Kayaking/Sailing.
Preferred Qualities:
Participate in and assist in running camp events and initiatives. Communicate regularly with the direct supervisor regarding concerns, updates, challenges, and successes. Set a good example for campers and coworkers in all areas, including but not limited to health and safety, accountability, fairness, organization, punctuality, following the rules, and sportsmanship. Perform other duties as assigned by Camp Director.
Requirements:
The position requires Red Cross Lifeguard Certification (with First Aid, C.P.R., and AED) or equivalent certification. Additional pre-season training is also required (2 days). Note that all counselors must successfully undergo a Massachusetts C.O.R.I. and S.O.R.I. report.
Salary Range:
$17-20 hourly
