Part-time position, not to exceed 28 hours weekly Hourly rate: $15.35

NOTE:

This position is posted year-round and filled as needed. The City of Florissant is seeking a part-time Fitness Center Attendant. The ideal candidate will monitor the Fitness Center and assists in supporting and enforcing the rules, regulations and safety of the patrons.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Greet guests and members in friendly manner Maintain safety of patrons at all times Maintains a clean and safe environment by monitoring the facility constantly and addressing any safety or cleanliness issues immediately Provide cleaning and basic maintenance to the equipment and the fitness area. Enforcement of fitness center rules and regulations Reports problems, or equipment issues immediately to the full time supervisor. Give suggestions to improve the operation to the supervisor Instruct patrons on machine operation Responsible for recording attendance figures. This is a safety sensitive position Performs other duties as directed

Requirements:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum age of 16 years of age Working knowledge of exercise equipment. High School Diploma or in the process of obtaining a high school diploma or GED. Some college is preferred. Must obtain the following Certifications within 60 Days of hire: CPR Certification by a nationally accredited organization. AED Certification by a nationally accredited organization.
