Job Description

Lifeguard 505 Swimming is seeking dependable and professional Lifeguards in Albuquerque. This position is ideal for someone who takes safety seriously, communicates well, arrives on time, and can be counted on to consistently work their scheduled shifts. Responsibilities Maintain active surveillance of swimmers and pool areas Enforce facility safety rules and procedures Respond appropriately to emergencies and provide first aid or rescue assistance when needed Maintain a professional and attentive presence while on duty Complete required safety checks, logs, and routine documentation Communicate promptly with supervisors regarding scheduling or operational concerns Arrive on time and remain prepared for all scheduled shifts Participate in required training and maintain all required certifications Assist with routine opening, closing, and general pool-area responsibilities as assigned Required Qualifications Previous lifeguarding experience Current lifeguard certification from a nationally recognized provider Current CPR/AED and First Aid certification Strong swimming and rescue skills Ability to remain attentive and focused for extended periods Reliable transportation to and from the work location Strong communication and interpersonal skills High level of dependability, punctuality, and professionalism Ability to consistently work an established weekly schedule Preferred Qualifications Experience working at municipal, university, fitness, recreation, or similar aquatic facilities Experience completing pool safety logs or routine facility documentation Additional aquatic or safety certifications
Position Details:
Part-time and full-time schedules are available Fully in-person in Albuquerque Consistent weekly scheduling with flexibility around your schedule Paid training Opportunities for additional responsibility and advancement
Benefits:
Pay:
$22.00/hour total compensation ($16.00/hour base wage + $6.00/hour added health benefit). Paid federal holidays
PTO:
Lifeguards become eligible for 2 weeks of paid time annually off after completing one year of employment.
Pay:
From $22.00 per hour Expected hours: 12.0 - 40.0 per week
