Job Description

Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM to 12:30 PM at our Stony Brook facility. Done by lunch, every afternoon and evening free. Built for someone taking classes or building something else in the afternoons. $17.00 an hour for your first 30 calendar days, then $25.00 to $28.00 by experience. Yes, that is a higher hourly than our full time seat: full time carries a 38 hour guarantee and this seat does not, so you are paid more for carrying the schedule risk. $32,500 to $36,400 a year at 25 hours. Paid hourly for every scheduled hour, whether the client shows or not.
Clients arrive on physician referral:
post physical therapy, post operative, GLP-1, osteoporosis, balance cases. Free training at both facilities and 35% off supplements from day one, NYS paid sick leave, and access to the Fitness Instructor apprenticeship registered with the NYS Department of Labor through SUNY Suffolk, by invitation (about a year and a half at this seat's hours). Scheduled under 30 hours, so no health plan or 401(k) at this level. We would rather say that here than in week three.
You need:
a current NCCA accredited certification (NASM, ACE, NSCA, ACSM or equivalent) and current CPR/AED. The title of record on your offer and paycheck is Fitness Specialist. See every seat and every number, then apply on our careers page.
