The 1930's hotel is a Historic Hotel of America and a AAA Four-Diamond Award winner. The lifeguard ensures the safety of patrons of an aquatic facility by preventing and responding to emergencies. Job Duties (Items marked with an asterisk are essential functions of this position): Actively monitor pool activity to anticipate, recognize, and respond to aquatic emergencies and situations.
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety of work areas and surrounding environment. Oversee and enforce pool rules and safety regulations for Hotel guests.
  • Monitor pool equipment and supplies for repair and ensure proper levels are maintained. Maintain proper appearance, lifeguard, and first aid skills at a "Test Ready" level at all times.
  • Participate and assist with lifeguard in-service training.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
18 years of age or older. Minimum of 1 years of related experience. Post-Employment - Employee will be enrolled in Ellis Lifeguard class immediately upon hire. Must pass class in order to work.
