Job Description

The purpose of this position is to provide enforcement of safety policies and maintain pool facilities. This is a permanent, part-time position.
  • Lifeguards all swimming sessions to ensure safety of public.
  • Cleans and sanitizes bathrooms and pool facilities daily utilizing mops and brooms.
  • Maintains good public relations through aquatic services and facilities.
  • Prevent accidents in the water and on the decks.
  • Rescues and provides emergency care to accident victims.
  • Provides enforcement of all rules and regulations as defined in Pool Operations.
  • Scrutinizes interior of pool and exterior pool area for potential hazards and initiates removal of such hazards.
  • Assists in clean-up and maintenance of pool area and admission area.
  • Empties trash cans, replace liners, and sweep walkways near entrances of pools assigned.
  • Performs minor, job related, maintenance on pool equipment.
  • Receives and handles complaints providing assistance, information, and solutions as needed.
  • Performs related work as assigned.
  • Must be at least 15 years old
  • Requires lifeguard training, CPR for the Professional Rescuer, and First Aid Certifications.
Pay rate depends upon experience. Pay range is $12.36 - $15.50 per hour.
