SafeSplash Swim School is hiring dependable, safety-focused Lifeguards to join our Sioux Falls team. Unlike seasonal outdoor lifeguarding, SafeSplash operates year-round at indoor pools, offering consistent opportunities throughout the school year and beyond. Already lifeguard certified? Great—we'd love to talk with you. Not certified yet? We prefer existing certification, but we're willing to train the right candidate. You'll work in a structured swim-school environment alongside instructors, children, families, and leadership as part of a team focused on safety and creating a great experience at the pool. What You'll Do Monitor the pool and surrounding areas to maintain a safe environment Remain attentive and prepared to respond quickly when needed Help enforce pool safety rules in a positive and professional manner Support Swim Instructors, swimmers, and families during lesson shifts Help maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming pool environment Work collaboratively with instructors, Deck Supervisors, and management Who We're Looking For Dependable, responsible, and attentive Comfortable and confident in and around the water Safety-minded with the maturity to respond appropriately when needed Positive and professional when working with children and families A strong communicator and team player Available afternoons, evenings, weekends, or a combination of shifts Current lifeguard certification is preferred but not required. For the right candidate with strong swimming ability, maturity, and reliability, we are willing to provide training. Previous lifeguarding, swim team, competitive swimming, coaching, teaching, childcare, or other aquatic experience is a plus. Want More Hours? Become a Swim Instructor Too! Many great lifeguards also make great Swim Instructors. If you enjoy working with children, you'll have the opportunity to cross-train as a Swim Instructor , providing access to additional shifts and earning opportunities. No previous swim-teaching experience is required—we provide the training, curriculum, and ongoing coaching you need to succeed. For team members who demonstrate strong leadership and initiative, we also offer opportunities to grow into Deck Supervisor and other part-time leadership or management roles .
