GENERAL PURPOSE
Lifeguard needed for both Ben Lomond and Ogden High School Pools. Applicant must hold current or pending Red Cross or Star Guard lifeguard certification.
Essential Functions:
Lifeguards work under the supervision of the Pool Manager, Head Guard, and Lead Shift Guards as applicable. Primary responsibilities include the safety of patrons in and around the facility. This is accomplished by performing patron surveillance, remaining alert, communicating and enforcing all pool rules in a personable and tactful manner, responding in an emergency as trained, completing all injury and rescue reports thoroughly, noticing and communicating safety issues and hazards to management, fellow staff, and patrons as applicable, and work as a team. Secondary responsibilities include setting up the facility for varied use as needed, admitting patrons to the facility, testing the water and recording findings, maintaining a clean facility, and attending scheduled in-service training and other staff meetings.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
(STUDENT) Must be a student and at least 14 years old.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
(ADULT) A High School Diploma or equivalent. One (1) year of related experience.
