Job Description
Job Summary and Responsibilities As our Environmental Services Technician, you'll keep our patient rooms and all areas of the hospital clean and sanitized. This protects everyone from potential illness or injury due to infectious diseases or other hazards. Every day, you will perform routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, or dusting. You will also use specialized equipment and techniques to further sanitize our facility. This role requires you to learn and adhere to proper disposal techniques for biohazard materials, including bodily fluids or sharp objects. You may also refill soap dispensers, paper towel dispensers, and other supplies, as well as deliver clean linens. To be successful in this role, you are thorough and committed to safety. You truly are the most important component contributing to the safety and comfort of our patients, visitors, and staff. A well-maintained facility with compassionate staff brings comfort and peace of mind to patients, their loved ones, and all who serve here. Performs cleaning of public and patient care areas to established standards. Must score 2 or fewer discrepancies on current Medi-Dyn Assessment Tool. Uses properly and cares for cleaning equipment and chemicals for job assignment. Observes Universal Precautions 100% of the time. Meets expectation of the job standard. Demonstrates a full understanding and accurately utilizes automated Departmental Systems, such as Teletracking. Demonstartes compliance with all established Department/Facility policies and procedures, including, but not limited to, attendance, utilization of time clock, PTO, MLOA or PLOA.
