Job Summary:
The primary duties of the Lead Housekeeper is to provide support to the Executive Housekeeper, provide supervision and direction for all of housekeeping staff, ensuring cleanliness, orderliness, and guest satisfaction. The Lead Housekeeper will handle tasks like assigning duties, inspecting guestrooms or inspecting public areas, training staff, multiple housekeeping duties, all while ensuring compliance with safety, hygiene standards and actively promotes the Company's culture of Caring. Essential Duties & Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Knowledge, understanding, and adherence to Company Core Values, Mission Statement, and Ayres Way. Follow company policies as outlined in the Team Member Handbook. Collaborate with other departments to fulfill guest requests and maintain operational efficiency. Address any maintenance issues promptly by reporting them to the appropriate personnel. Complete work orders, as needed. Inspect rooms, verify and report status and/or discrepancies of rooms and enter into property management system (as needed) Perform Room Attendant and/or House Attendant duties, as needed. Assist in training Room Attendants, as needed Maintains Housekeeping department minimum standards. Assists with the preparation of work schedule for staff and arrange for replacements in case of absences. Plan, organize, and monitor staff assignments to ensure compliance with quality assurance standards set by the Hotel. Distribute staff work assignments. Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing to provide clear direction in assigning housekeeping and laundry staff in details of work. Distribute and delegate workload to guarantee maximum productivity and guest satisfaction with minimum outlay of expenses in terms of labor and materials. Monitor house count and make staffing adjustments accordingly. Assists with issuance of keys and maintain inventory and security of keys. Operate within the established labor standards.
