Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Housekeeper to join our team. This role is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and presentation of guest rooms and public areas. This includes ensuring rooms meet hotel standards, addressing maintenance issues, restocking supplies, and providing excellent customer service to enhance the guest experience. The Housekeeper supports the hotel's commitment to cleanliness, comfort, and overall guest satisfaction. Job Functions Thoroughly clean and maintain guest rooms by making beds, vacuuming, dusting, sanitizing high-touch areas, and replenishing amenities to ensure a welcoming and pristine environment. Conduct detailed inspections of guest rooms to identify and report maintenance issues or damages, ensuring timely resolution for optimal guest experience. Adhere to the hotel's cleanliness standards and operational policies to maintain consistency and uphold brand quality across all assigned areas. Collaborate with the front desk team to ensure room readiness and meet specific guest preferences or special requests. Efficiently restock and manage inventory of guest room supplies, including toiletries, linens, and towels, ensuring availability and presentation align with hotel standards. Provide outstanding customer service by promptly addressing guest requests, anticipating needs, and contributing to a relaxing and memorable stay. Assist in the preparation and setup of public areas (e.g., lobby, hallways, and dining areas) to maintain a clean and welcoming atmosphere. Handle and store cleaning supplies safely and properly according to safety standards and hotel procedures, ensuring the cleanliness and organization of housekeeping storage areas. Assist team members with various tasks and projects during high occupancy periods, including room turnovers and non-cleaning duties, to ensure smooth operations and efficient workflow. Education, Experience, and Special Skills Required High school diploma or GED education preferred. 1+ years of housekeeping experience, preferably in a boutique hotel. A friendly demeanor with a passion for providing outstanding guest services is crucial for success in this role. Strong organizational and time management skills. Excellent communication skills are essential for effective guest interactions. Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality. Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines. Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and overtime as needed. Integrity in handling confidential information. Ability to adapt to frequent changes and unexpected events. Commitment to safety, security, and company policies. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, including up to 8 hours or more per shift. Frequent bending, stooping, and reaching to perform tasks such as cleaning and stocking. Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 25 pounds regularly and occasionally up to 50 pounds. Ability to work in a variety of environments, including indoor and outdoor settings, and tolerate exposure to cleaning chemicals.
