Responsible for ensuring resident rooms as well as community common areas and work areas are clean and sanitary. Will work with the maintenance team in communicating needs and opportunities to improve the community. Keeping the community sanitary and residents living in clean dignified rooms is of the highest priority.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

The essential duties described below are representative of the skills and ability necessary while performing the basic functions of the position. Inventory and Order housekeeping supplies including chemicals, linen, paper supplies, trash bags, and any other supplies needed for the department. Random check her housekeepers work and follow up. Assist with the hiring process. New hire training. Will team up new hires with other staff members to assist in training. Schedules for housekeeping will be developed to meet the needs of the community. Monitor hours, meal breaks, and OT. Call offs and tardiness will be recorded on an attendance log. Housekeeping staff will call off to Lead Housekeeper. In Service staff members on a regular basis. Department training, such as Relias. Competency and training check list. Will report to maintenance director

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Age Requirement:

Must be at least 18 years of age.

Education:

Able to read, write and speak English.

Experience:

Prefer one year of experience

Professionalism/Personal Ethics:

Has respect and compassion towards older adults. Demonstrates concern for the physical and emotional needs of residents and their families. Upholds values of company and shows personal integrity.

Mathematical/Reasoning Skills:

Able to perform simple math calculations. Able to respond to resident needs with patience, compassion, and respect. Communication Skills Clearly able to speak, read, and understand English. Can follow oral and written instructions.

Working Conditions:

Well-lighted and with appropriate ventilation and temperature levels. Handles exposure to extreme heat and cold.

Other Requirement:

Employee must pass a criminal record clearance, health screening and drug testing prior to beginning work in the community.

Physical Demands:

Must be able to regularly listen and speak to individuals, stand for long periods, move about the community, bend, reach, and grasp, lift up to 20 lbs., and assist with walking residents. Good vision is required.
