SUMMARY OF MAJOR FUNCTIONS

Under direct supervision, maintain the cleanliness of MFI's facilities; and to perform related work as required. Uses a broad range of skills and judgment to prioritize and perform all general sanitizing, cleaning and maintenance tasks in office settings (medical and general) and residential facilities, while also handling a variety of non-routine tasks. Develop and implement plans for accomplishing cleaning and maintenance goals for all assigned sites. Work collaboratively with clinical staff to address both routine and emergent needs in ways that are safe, efficient, and effective for both staff and clients.

DUTIES:

Create and implement a cleaning schedule for meeting the janitorial needs of assigned sites. Provide services that include sanitizing and disinfecting, dusting, vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, emptying garbage, cleaning windows, restocking supplies, and tasks normally associated with cleaning offices, living facilities, bathrooms and kitchens. Comply with all OSHA standards and agency safety policies and procedures in performing all work. Collects and transports infectious waste and disposes of waste in locked regulated bins following all safety guidelines. Ensures public safety in work areas by posting notices, roping off areas to passage or other such methods. Replaces soiled linens, draperies and cubicle curtains; distributes patient laundry and clean linen. Keeps workstation, utility or storage rooms, and equipment clean and in orderly condition. Prepares work activity logs and initiates requests to replenish supplies. Maintain MFI Recovery Center maintenance manual and records

Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED required. Previous custodial or housekeeping experience preferred. Knowledge of cleaning equipment, chemicals, and sanitation practices. Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and maintain confidentiality. Strong communication and organizational skills.

Requirements:

Must pass two background check, drug screening, and TB test. Must have a valid government-issued ID. Ability to lift up to 10 pounds and perform physical tasks such as bending, reaching, pushing, pulling, and standing for extended periods.

Pay:

$22.00 per hour
