We specialize in high quality, pet-friendly/safe residential cleaning and pet care. We pride ourselves on providing our clients and their pets with a home that feels clean, comfortable, and cared for. This position is ideal for someone who takes pride in their work, notices the little details, and can provide consistently excellent service. Because most of our clients have pets, applicants should be comfortable working around dogs and cats. Hours will begin on a part-time basis with the opportunity for additional hours as our client base continues to grow. Responsibilities Perform residential cleaning services according to The Polished Paw's cleaning standards and client service plans. Clean and sanitize kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms, living areas, and other designated spaces. Handle laundry tasks such as washing, drying, folding, and organizing linens or clothing items. Dust and wipe surfaces, vacuum carpets and rugs, sweep and mop floors, clean mirrors, and other appropriate surfaces. Thoroughly clean sinks, countertops, showers, tubs, toilets, appliances, fixtures, and other assigned areas. Pay close attention to pet hair, high-touch areas, buildup, and other details that affect the finished result. Properly use company-provided cleaning products, supplies, and equipment while following safety procedures. Follow pet-friendly/safe cleaning practices and exercise care when working around clients' animals. Respect clients' homes, belongings, privacy, animals, and property at all times. Communicate professionally with management regarding job completion, client requests, supply needs, damages, or concerns. Arrive on time and complete assigned services efficiently while maintaining our quality standards. Complete a final walkthrough/ check of assigned areas before leaving each property. Represent The Polished Paw San Diego in a friendly, trustworthy, and professional manner. Experience Previous residential cleaning, housekeeping, janitorial, or similar experience is preferred but not required. Knowledge of basic cleaning techniques, products, and sanitation practices is a plus. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow cleaning checklists and client specific instructions. Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently across multiple locations and complete assigned tasks independently. Ability to perform physical cleaning task, including bending, reaching, standing for extended periods, and lifting up to 25-30 lbs. Familiarity with customer service principles to ensure positive interactions with clients.
