Schedule:

Part-time, approximately 3-5 days per week, a few hours per visit

Approximately 12-20 hours per week, with some flexibility Job Description We are looking for a reliable, trustworthy, organized and proactive Part-Time Household Assistant / Housekeeper to help keep our family home clean, organized and running smoothly. This is more than a basic cleaning position. We are looking for someone who enjoys taking care of a home and can assist with a combination of housekeeping, laundry, home organization, meal preparation, grocery planning and occasional pet care . The ideal person notices what needs to be done without needing detailed instructions every day and takes pride in leaving the home clean, organized and well maintained. This is a long-term position for the right person.

Responsibilities:

Housekeeping Clean and maintain bathrooms Vacuum and mop floors Clean kitchen and countertops Load/unload dishwasher and wash dishes as needed Dust and wipe surfaces Make beds and change bed linens Keep common areas tidy and organized General household cleaning and resetting of rooms Help maintain a consistently clean and comfortable home Laundry & Clothing Care Wash and dry laundry Fold and put clothes away Iron clothing as needed Wash and change towels and bedding Help keep closets and clothing organized Home Organization Organize bedrooms, closets, pantry, kitchen cabinets and other areas Help create simple organizational systems Keep items in their proper places Periodically help with larger organization projects Help reduce clutter and keep the household organized Meal Prep & Kitchen Support Help plan a simple weekly meal menu Prepare simple, healthy meals for the family Wash and cut vegetables and prepare ingredients Batch-prep meals or ingredients for the week Portion and store prepared foods Keep the refrigerator and pantry organized Clean the kitchen after meal preparation We are not looking for a professional chef. The meals should be simple, healthy, fresh and easy to prepare . Grocery & Household Supplies Maintain a running grocery list Help place online grocery orders Help keep track of household supplies Let us know when commonly used items are running low Put away groceries and household deliveries Occasional grocery pickup or small errands may be requested Pet Care Comfortable around a friendly small dog Occasionally take the dog for a walk when needed Help with basic pet-related tasks when requested What We Are Looking For The right person will be: Dependable and punctual Honest and trustworthy Organized and detail-oriented Proactive and able to work independently Comfortable working in a private family home Respectful of privacy and confidentiality Good at cleaning and maintaining a home Comfortable doing laundry and ironing Comfortable preparing simple meals Comfortable around dogs Able to follow household preferences and routines Able to communicate clearly when supplies are needed or something requires attention Someone who takes pride in keeping a home clean and organized Preferred Experience Previous housekeeping, household assistant, family assistant or similar experience preferred Meal-preparation experience preferred Home-organization experience is a plus Prior experience working in a private residence is a plus Reliable transportation preferred Strong references from previous employers or families preferred Physical Requirements Must be comfortable performing normal household activities including: Standing and walking for extended periods Bending and reaching Vacuuming and mopping Carrying laundry and groceries Performing normal household cleaning tasks Schedule We are looking for someone who can generally come 3-5 times per week for a few hours at a time . There is some flexibility in determining the exact days and hours, but we would prefer to establish a consistent weekly schedule once the right person is selected. Additional hours may occasionally be available. Compensation $20

•25 per hour , depending on experience, capabilities and overall fit.
