We are seeking an experienced, reliable and highly organized Live-In Housekeeper to join a private family household in Woodside, California on a long-term basis. This is primarily a housekeeping and household management position , rather than a childcare role. The household includes three young children and an established household team, including childcare/household support. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working collaboratively within a busy family home while taking ownership of the day-to-day cleanliness, organization and presentation of the household. Key Responsibilities Full housekeeping and maintaining the home to a consistently high standard Daily cleaning and tidying of bedrooms, bathrooms and living areas Deep cleaning and maintaining a regular cleaning schedule Laundry for the household, including washing, drying, folding and putting away Ironing and care of clothing and household linens Changing beds and managing bed linens and towels Keeping wardrobes, cupboards, pantry and household storage areas organized Maintaining children's rooms and common areas in an orderly condition Monitoring household supplies and replenishing items when necessary Grocery shopping and household errands Receiving and organizing household deliveries Cooking, meal preparation and kitchen assistance Keeping the kitchen clean, organized and well stocked Assisting with general household organization and preparation when the family is travelling or entertaining Occasional childcare assistance or supervision when needed, although this is not primarily a nanny position Working cooperatively with the family's nanny/childcare support and estate/household management team Helping ensure the household runs smoothly on a day-to-day basis Ideal Candidate We are looking for someone who is warm, trustworthy, discreet and proactive, with a genuine understanding of how to care for a private family home.

The ideal candidate will have:

At least 5 years of professional housekeeping experience Excellent and verifiable references from previous families Strong housekeeping, laundry and ironing skills Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail The ability to notice what needs to be done without always being instructed Experience working in a household with children Experience working alongside other household staff A positive, flexible and calm personality Good communication skills Respect for the family's privacy and confidentiality A valid driver's licence and clean driving record Legal authorization to work in the United States Willingness to undergo a background and reference check Schedule Minimum 5 days per week , with two consecutive days off. The precise daily schedule can be agreed with the successful candidate Flexibility is important as the household schedule may occasionally change due to family commitments, entertaining or travel. Accommodation This is a live-in position . Private accommodation will be provided, with appropriate privacy and clearly defined off-duty time.
