Yucaipa, CA Job Details PRN | Per diem $23 - $25 an hour 17 hours ago Benefits Paid training Paid time off Flexible schedule Paid sick time Qualifications Nursing policy compliance Vital signs Assisting with ADLs Rehabilitation care assistance CNA Bathing assistance Full Job Description Overview Yucaipa Valley Pediatric Living, Inc. is a pediatric Congregate Living Health Facility (CLHF) in Yucaipa, California, providing skilled nursing and supportive care to medically fragile children in a small, residential setting. We are seeking compassionate, dependable Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) who enjoy working with children and want to make a meaningful difference in the lives of medically fragile children and their families. As part of our small care team, CNAs will have the opportunity to get to know each child's individual needs, routines, preferences, and personality while providing hands-on daily care and support. Responsibilities Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and personal hygiene Assist with repositioning, transfers, mobility, and use of adaptive equipment as directed Provide feeding assistance and support with meals within CNA scope of practice and the resident's plan of care Measure and record vital signs, intake and output, weights, and other assigned observations Observe residents for changes in condition and promptly report concerns to the licensed nurse Assist with maintaining resident comfort, cleanliness, dignity, safety, and privacy Support residents with age-appropriate activities, interaction, and daily routines Assist with maintaining clean and organized resident rooms and care areas Follow infection prevention, hand hygiene, and safety practices Complete required documentation accurately and timely Work collaboratively with LVNs, RNs, families, and other members of the interdisciplinary care team Provide care in accordance with facility policies and procedures, applicable California Title 22 requirements, the resident's plan of care, and CNA scope of practice Experience & Qualifications Current California Certified Nursing Assistant certification in good standing Current BLS/CPR certification Compassionate, dependable, patient, and comfortable working with children Strong communication and teamwork skills Ability to safely perform physical duties associated with direct resident care Pediatric, long-term care, subacute, home health, rehabilitation, or medically complex patient experience is preferred Previous pediatric experience is preferred but not required Willingness to complete facility-specific training and education based on resident needs Ability to follow facility policies, applicable California Title 22 requirements, and established standards of care Join Our Team We are building our team from the ground up and are looking for CNAs who want to grow with our facility, provide compassionate hands-on care, and help create a safe, supportive, and positive environment for the children and families we serve.
Pay:
$23.00 - $25.00 per hour Expected hours: No more than 40.0 per week
