In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and comfort across guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces. You must be able to handle small daily onsite laundry workload and also have basic maintenance ability (replacing light bulbs, replacing batteries, tightening door knobs/pulls, servicing locks, etc)This paid position offers an opportunity to develop your skills within the hospitality industry while contributing to a positive guest experience. Duties Thoroughly clean and sanitize guest rooms, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, and replenishing supplies to ensure a spotless environment. Maintain cleanliness of public spaces such as small back office, outdoor trash, walkways, outdoor furniture; performing sweeping, mopping, trash removal, and surface cleaning. Care for floors using appropriate methods such as sweeping, mopping, or industrial cleaning equipment to keep surfaces safe and attractive. Restock amenities like towels, toiletries, and linens to meet guest needs efficiently. Follow established safety protocols during cleaning procedures and handle cleaning chemicals responsibly. Report maintenance issues or damages promptly to ensure swift resolution and uphold hotel standards. Assist with inventory management of cleaning supplies and equipment to maintain operational efficiency. Manage onsite laundering and organizing of towels, bedding, linens. Some onsite guest communication and ability to use a laptop, cellphone, Whatsapp, etc Qualifications Prior experience in hotel housekeeping or janitorial work is highly desirable; familiarity with hospitality standards is a plus. Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques, floor care methods, and industrial cleaning equipment. Excellent attention to detail with a proactive approach to maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards. Ability to work independently or as part of a small team in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks efficiently. Good physical stamina to stand, bend, lift, and perform repetitive cleaning tasks throughout shifts. Knowledge of custodial procedures and safety guidelines related to chemical handling and equipment use. Previous experience in hospitality or housekeeping management is advantageous but not required.
