Use appropriate cleaning detergents and equipment safely to ensure optimal results without damaging surfaces or furnishings. Manage floor cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, carpet cleaning, and floor care to keep all flooring pristine. Assist with outdoor work as needed, such as patio or porch cleaning, ensuring the exterior of homes is tidy and well-maintained. Communicate professionally with clients to understand their specific needs and provide exceptional customer service at all times. Practice manual handling techniques for heavy lifting or moving furniture safely to prevent injury. Maintain organized cleaning supplies inventory and ensure all equipment is properly used and stored. Follow strict safety protocols related to janitorial and custodial work to promote a safe working environment. Skills Proven experience in residential cleaning or housekeeping management with strong attention to detail. Knowledge of cleaning surfaces, sanitation standards, and proper use of cleaning detergents and equipment. Skilled in floor care techniques including carpet cleaning and outdoor surface maintenance. Excellent time management skills to efficiently complete tasks within scheduled appointments. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with clients. Ability to perform light cooking or meal prep if required by clients' household routines. Physical stamina for manual handling tasks such as heavy lifting and prolonged standing or walking. Experience with janitorial or custodial work in both residential and commercial settings is highly desirable. Familiarity with cleaning procedures for different surfaces and materials to ensure thorough sanitation. Outdoor work experience preferred for maintaining exterior areas of homes when necessary.
