Responsibilities Perform comprehensive cleaning tasks across resident rooms, common areas, bathrooms, and kitchens using appropriate cleaning equipment and chemicals. Conduct window cleaning and floor care, including sweeping, mopping, polishing, and pressure washing to maintain pristine surfaces. Handle laundry services efficiently, including washing, drying, folding, and organizing linens and residents' clothing. Utilize personal protective equipment (PPE) properly during all cleaning activities to ensure safety and infection control standards are met. Maintain sanitation standards by disinfecting high-touch surfaces regularly and adhering to infection control protocols. Operate janitorial equipment safely and effectively while ensuring proper handling of cleaning chemicals in accordance with safety guidelines. Assist with heavy lifting tasks such as moving furniture or large supplies to support overall facility maintenance needs. Skills Proven janitorial or custodial experience with a strong understanding of commercial cleaning procedures. Skilled in various cleaning techniques including window cleaning, floor care, and pressure washing. Knowledge of chemical handling procedures and proper use of cleaning equipment to ensure safety and efficiency. Experience with laundry services and maintaining sanitation standards within a healthcare or assisted living setting. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate professionally with residents and staff. Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely while managing heavy lifting requirements. Familiarity with infection control practices and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
