Responsibilities Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, bathrooms, hallways, and public areas using appropriate cleaning equipment and chemical agents. Handle chemical agents safely by following safety data sheets (SDS) and proper handling procedures to ensure a safe working environment. Vacuum carpets, sweep and mop floors, and perform floor care tasks to maintain impeccable cleanliness standards. Manage heavy lifting tasks such as moving furniture or supplies with proper manual handling techniques to prevent injury. Restock amenities, replace linens, and ensure all areas meet sanitation standards in accordance with hotel housekeeping management protocols. Respond promptly to guest requests for additional supplies or special cleaning needs, delivering exceptional customer service. Follow hotel emergency procedures and safety protocols to ensure the well-being of guests and staff at all times. Experience Prior custodial or janitorial experience in a hospitality or industrial cleaning setting is highly desirable. Familiarity with hotel housekeeping operations, including the use of cleaning equipment such as vacuums, buffers, and steam cleaners. Knowledge of sanitation practices, chemical handling, and safety data sheets (SDS) to maintain a safe working environment. Experience with hotel emergency procedures and safety protocols is preferred. Strong physical stamina with the ability to perform manual handling tasks and heavy lifting regularly. Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude towards guests and team members. Previous hotel experience or housekeeping management background is a plus for those seeking advancement opportunities.
