Responsibilities Perform thorough cleaning of floors using various techniques such as vacuuming, mopping, and carpet care to ensure cleanliness and safety. Handle cleaning tasks across different areas including guest rooms, hallways, lobbies, restrooms, and service areas with precision and efficiency. Operate cleaning equipment safely and effectively, including vacuums, floor buffers, and other janitorial tools. Manage chemical agents responsibly by understanding Safety Data Sheets (SDS), proper handling procedures, and storage protocols to ensure safety for yourself and others. Assist with heavy lifting and manual handling tasks when moving furniture or supplies to support housekeeping operations. Follow hotel emergency procedures diligently to maintain a secure environment for guests and staff at all times. Maintain sanitation standards by adhering to hotel housekeeping management protocols and cleanliness checklists. Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to staff requests or guest inquiries related to cleanliness or maintenance needs. Qualifications Prior experience in hotel housekeeping or custodial roles is highly preferred; familiarity with janitorial practices is a plus. Demonstrated ability in floor cleaning techniques including chemical handling, vacuuming, and floor care equipment operation. Knowledge of safety procedures related to chemical agents handling, SDS comprehension, heavy lifting, and manual handling. Strong commitment to hospitality standards with excellent attention to detail in cleaning and sanitation tasks. Ability to work efficiently independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments. Good physical stamina for prolonged periods of standing, walking, bending, lifting heavy objects safely, and performing manual tasks. Excellent customer service skills with a positive attitude toward guest satisfaction and team collaboration.
