Housekeepers are responsible for maintaining exceptional cleanliness in guest rooms and hotel areas while providing friendly service and supporting our commitment to True Hospitality. Responsibilities Clean and service assigned guest rooms according to Holiday Inn Express and IHG brand standards. Make beds, replace linens and towels, restock guest amenities, and ensure every room is guest-ready. Clean and sanitize bathrooms, bedrooms, and high-touch surfaces using approved cleaning procedures. Vacuum carpets, sweep and mop floors, dust furniture, remove trash, and maintain the highest standards of cleanliness. Safely handle cleaning chemicals and equipment while following Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and hotel safety procedures. Report maintenance concerns, damaged items, and lost-and-found items promptly. Keep housekeeping carts organized, stocked, and clean throughout each shift. Respond promptly and professionally to guest requests while providing outstanding customer service. Assist with deep cleaning projects and other housekeeping duties as assigned. Follow all hotel safety, sanitation, and emergency procedures. Qualifications Previous hotel housekeeping, janitorial, or custodial experience is preferred but not required—we are happy to train the right candidate. Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and quality. Ability to work independently while contributing to a team-focused environment. Excellent customer service and communication skills. Ability to safely operate cleaning equipment and follow chemical safety procedures. Physical ability to lift up to 30 pounds and perform repetitive tasks including standing, walking, bending, reaching, pushing, and pulling throughout the shift.
